Katie Short, MS, LPC, EMDR-II, Somatic Experiencing Practicer (SEP)

You don’t have to just “get over it.” Healing isn’t about forgetting or forcing yourself to move on — it’s about reconnecting with your body, mind, and spirit in new ways. I help people heal from the lasting impact of trauma, stress, and relational wounds through approaches like EMDR and Somatic Experiencing. My work is body-based and grounded in compassion, helping you calm your nervous system, sleep better, and feel more at ease in yourself.

I integrate depth and transpersonal psychology and Jungian psychology for those drawn to deeper self-exploration. These concepts can be applied when appropriate to a client’s worldview.

I am holding space for the 2SLGBTQI+ community and am familiar with the needs of those exploring gender identity and I can support you in making an informed decision about your gender expression and/or transition. I offer safe and effective pathways to achieving lasting personal comfort, psychological well-being, and self-fulfillment because this is a matter of diversity, not pathology. I also work with individuals in non-normative relationship structures, non-monogamy and polyamory, kinksters, those exploring sexual orientation and sexual self-concept, and anyone seeking to build better skills around consent, communication, and boundaries.

Neurodivergent affirming 🙂 Serving those on all the spectrums.

Additional experience in Ketamine Assisted Therapy modalities.

Jen Freilino, MS, LPC, EMDR

I help teenagers and adults manage their anxiety and stress better. There is a level of anxiety that is normal, that everyone feels, and that can even be productive. Then there is the kind of anxiety that is crippling—that is not often understood by those around us and that gets in the way of our happiness. It can keep you up at night, make you constantly distracted, affect your work or school performance, and even make you physically sick. Sometimes it can feel like anxiety comes out of nowhere, leaving you feeling confused, helpless, and desperate to find some relief (even if it’s not in a healthy way).

When I was younger, I developed this kind of anxiety. I wasn’t sure what caused it at the time, or how to deal with it constructively–I just knew that it was taking over my life and getting in the way of what mattered most to me. I was skeptical of counseling at first, but I stuck with it and am forever grateful for those who helped me figure it all out.

I used to think peace wasn’t possible, but with the right support and skills, I know now it definitely is. Please don’t spend any longer suffering. The tools and peace of mind afforded to me, not only through my personal journey, but through over 10 years of clinical experience and training, I can offer you to find the peace you are looking for.
